MK Lightning boosted their EPL title hopes with a hard-fought 4-3 home victory over Swindon Wildcats.

James Griffin, Bobby Chamberlain, Sam Jones and Lewis Hook got the goals for Lightning who are eight points behind Telford Tigers with three games in hand.

The Tigers won 7-4 at home to Hull Pirates, but failed to follow up at Peterborough Phantoms as the hosts sealed a 3-1 success.

Basingstoke Bison moved up to third in the table after recording a pair of victories over Bracknell Bees.

Derek Roehl scored twice in Bison’s 4-2 home success, while Joe Miller and Ciaran Long matched the feat in their 7-2 road win.

Guildford Flames recorded a four point weekend, winning 4-2 at home to Peterborough and 5-2 at Sheffield Steeldogs.

Arnoldas Bosas (3) and Macaulay Heywood (2) led the way for Sheffield in their 8-2 home victory over Manchester Phoenix.

Tomasz Malasinski bagged a brace as Swindon ran out 3-2 winners at Hull.
