Peterborough Phantoms kept their EPL title bid on track after an impressive four-point weekend.

Darius Pliskauskas (above) scored twice in Phantoms’ 4-0 win at Bracknell Bees, while Ales Padelek hit a hat-trick in their 8-3 victory at home to Sheffield Steeldogs.

The results keep Phantoms in second place, four points behind Basingstoke Bison with two games in hand.

Bison started the weekend with a 5-0 win on home ice against Swindon Wildcats, before crashing 4-0 at Guildford Flames. They bounced back to winning ways on the road at Swindon – Shaun Thompson’s overtime strike sealing a 3-2 victory.

Janis Ozolins (2) and Andy McKinney (2) led the scoring for Flames as they ran out 6-2 winners at Manchester Phoenix.

Mk Lightning cruised to a 9-4 success at home to the Wildcats – Jordan Cownie led the way with four goals.

Macaulay Heywood scored twice for Telford Tigers in their 5-1 victory at Sheffield.

Hull Pirates extended their winless run to nine games after losing 6-1 at home to the Phoenix and 4-3 at Bracknell.
