Guildford Flames picked up a pair of narrow victories to stay in touch with the top three in the EPL.

Janis Ozolins grabbed the shoot-out decider in Flames 4-3 success at home to Telford Tigers, while Ben Campbell’s overtime strike sealed a win by the same scoreline at Peterborough Phantoms.

Gregg Rockman produced an impressive performance against the Tigers, making 32 saves plus two more during the penalties to guide Flames to victory.

Table-topping Basingstoke Bison made it 12 wins from their last 14 league games courtesy of a four-point weekend.

Bison won 3-1 at Bracknell Bees and followed up with a 5-3 success at Manchester Phoenix to move five points clear of MK Lightning.

Stanislav Gron’s second of the night condemned Lightning to a 5-4 overtime defeat at home to Phoenix, but they bounced back to win 4-3 at Sheffield Steeldogs – Lewis Hook got the winner.

Sheffield won 6-5 on home ice against Manchester Phoenix – Stanislav Lascek scored four during normal time, while Tom Squires’ strike sealed the points in the points in overtime.

Aaron Nell’s second of the game secured a 4-3 overtime victory for Swindon at home to Sheffield and he followed up with another pair in Wildcats’ 3-2 success at Bracknell.

Hull Pirates endured a miserable weekend, losing 6-1 at home to Peterborough and 3-2 at Telford.
