
Telford Tigers are closing in on their second EPL title in three years after a hard-fought victory at home to Peterborough Phantoms on Sunday.
Milan Kolena’s goal after 46 minutes secured a 6-5 success to leave the Tigers eight points clear with six games to play.
Second-placed MK Lightning had a mixed weekend on the road, losing 3-2 at Basingstoke Bison before bouncing back with a 4-1 victory at Guildford – Tom Carlon (2) led the scoring against the Flames.
Robin Kovar grabbed the winner for Swindon Wildcats in their 5-4 shoot-out victory at home to Sheffield Steeldogs.
Bracknell Bees enjoyed a rare four point weekend, winning 7-6 after a shoot-out at Peterborough and 5-4 at home to Swindon – Alex Barker bagged a hat-trick against the Wildcats.
