
MK Lightning bounced back from a disappointing defeat on home ice with an impressive road win to remain top of the EPL.
Two late goals by Matic Kralj and Andrew Melachrino condemned Lightning to a 4-2 defeat against Guildford Flames, but they returned to winning ways with a 4-1 success at Swindon Wildcats.
Basingstoke Bison continued their impressive home form with a 5-0 victory against Sheffield Steeldogs. Bison are less convincing on the road and their struggles continued as they crashed 8-4 at Guildford.
Milan Baranyk (4) led the way for Peterborough Phantoms as they cruised to an 11-0 win at home to Hull Pirates. The defeat completed a miserable weekend for the Humberside outfit who also lost 6-1 on home ice against Manchester Phoenix.
Max Birbraer’s overtime strike sealed a 3-2 win for Telford Tigers at home to Peterborough, but they failed to follow up against Manchester as they fell 2-1 at Deeside Ice Rink.
Sheffield Steeldogs celebrated their change in ownership in style with a 7-3 home win against Bracknell Bees – Stanislas Lascek (2) and Tim Smith (2) topped their scoring.
