Great Britain forward Ben Davies has signed a temporary four-week contract with Swindon Wildcats.

Davies drops into the EPL after racking up nearly 500 appearances in the Elite League with Cardiff Devils and Braehead Clan over the past few seasons.

The 25-year-old is believed to be chasing a move to North America, but has agreed to spend the early part of the season with the Wildcats.

Player/Coach Aaron Nell said: “Ben is a quality Centre and with him becoming available we’ve agreed a deal which suits both him and us.

“He’s spent his whole career playing at the highest level of the British game and, although he’s still young, he has loads of experience.

“We’ve got a tough start to the season, so it will really help us at the start of the year and hopefully it can work well for us and work well for him.

“It’s a good chance for him to stay in shape and be ready for when he goes away.

“It will work well for both parties and we’re excited to have him in the building for the start of the season.”
