Young Hull Seahawks forward Owen Bruton has agreed a new two-year deal with the club.
Bruton, who is currently recovering from an injury sustained while featuring for Great Britain’s Under 20s in Croatia, has committed his future to a club he first joined as a 16-year-old.
He has already featured more than 100 times for the Seahawks, scoring 43 points in less than three seasons.
‘A massive re-signing’
Bruton’s new deal was confirmed ahead of the Seahawks’ 6-1 victory at home to Solway Sharks on Sunday.
“It’s a massive re-signing,” head coach Matty Davies said post-match.
“We want to keep him at the club for as long as we can, progressing him.
“He’s come a long way in three years. He’s improving a lot and adding more to his game – the sort of stuff that he’ll need as he gets older.”
