Manchester Storm have retained Adam Barnes for a second season, as well as adding rookie Finlay Ulrick to their squad.

Barnes, 19, returns to the club after joining on a two-way deal with NIHL side Blackburn Hawks last season, where he scored 22 points in 15 games.

Storm head coach Ryan Finnerty said: “Barnesy stepped up towards the end of last season, showing he can play at this level.

“We are looking for him to continue to improve and get stronger, so he can become a regular in this league. He needs to work hard this summer in the gym and be ready for training camp.”

19-year-old Ulrick joins the club after spending the last three years in the USA for Northwood School.

Pleased with his latest signing, Finnerty said: “We have been looking at Finlay for a while now. I am excited to be working with him and watching him develop.”
