SNL round-up: It’s getting tight at the top

Just two points separate the top four in the SNL after Dundee Comets and Kirkcaldy Kestrels both secured home victories.

The Comets earned the bragging rights in their first local derby of the season against the Tigers with a 5-3 win – John Dolan (2), Alan Hamilton (2) and Billy Hogg got the goals.

Conor Duncan (5) topped the scoring for the Kestrels as they recorded a 19-2 success against bottom side Kilmarnock Storm.

Moray Typhoons moved up to fifth in the table after a 9-2 home victory against North Ayrshire Wild.

Aberdeen Lynx are top of the standings with 15 points from nine games, while Paisley Pirates are two points behind with two games in hand on the leaders.

The Kestrels have 13 points from 10 games, with the Comets on the same total but having played a game less than the Kirkcaldy outfit.
