Reigning SNL champions Kirkcaldy Kestrels moved up to third in the league after recording a four-point weekend.

The Kestrels travelled to Dundee Tigers on Saturday and took the lead late in the first period through Sean Cochrane.

Robbie Hill and Conor Duncan (above) made it 3-0 in the second session, before Mark McLeod picked up his own rebound to fire home the puck and bring the Tigers back into the game.

Robin Floyd’s 38th minute powerplay effort restored the Kestrels’ three-goal advantage and dashed the home team’s hopes of a comeback.

Neither side could add to their tally in the final period and the visitors comfortably saw the game out to record a 4-1 victory.

Edinburgh Capitals SNL were the visitors to Kirkcaldy on Sunday, but were no match for the hosts who ran out 7-1 winners.

Duncan (2), Caly Robertson (2), Floyd, Sean Cochrane and Chad Smith were on target for the Kestrels, while Joel Gautschi grabbed a late consolation for the Capitals.

Aberdeen Lynx stay second in the table after an 8-1 win at North Ayrshire Wild – Jonathan Hogan (4) topped the scoring.
