Dundee Tigers’ defender Ian Carstairs says he was hugely disappointed by Saturday’s 4-3 defeat at Moray Typhoons.

Kevin Russell’s second goal of the game eight minutes from time secured the points for the home team and dented the Tigers’ hopes of a top four finish in the SNL.

Carstairs said: “We are a far better team than we showed and we were drawn down to playing at the Typhoons level.

“It’s always a tough rink to go to and we didn’t adjust well enough. We thought we’d managed to take the lead in the third period but the had a perfectly good goal disallowed and it felt like a lot of big decisions went against us.

“Despite that we should have had enough in the tank to win the game and the Typhoons will feel like they’ve stolen two points.”
