Tomasz Malasinski has signed a two-year contract extension with the Swindon Wildcats, keeping him at the EPL club until the end of the 2017-18 season.

The 29-year-old Polish forward has been a revelation since joining the Wildcats two years ago, scoring 74 goals and 69 assists in 97 games.

Malasinski said: “I’m very happy to sign a new two-year contract in Swindon.

“I’ve enjoyed playing at the club for the last two years and the fans have been great to me and everyone has been very welcoming.”

Malasinski won both the Supporters Club’s Forward of the Season and Player of the Season awards in March after spending last season terrorising opposition defences, racking up 42 goals and 46 assists in 53 games.

He has also continued to be a regular fixture for his national team since arriving in Wiltshire and is currently big news in Poland after finishing as joint top goalscorer at the recent World Championship (Division 1A) tournament.

Wildcats’ Player/Coach Aaron Nell commented: “To say I’m delighted Tomasz has signed a new two-year contract is an understatement.

“Tomasz comes to play every night, he obviously has great goalscoring ability but it’s his work rate and two-way game that makes him so good and valuable.

“He’s another great person to have in the locker room and he’s highly respected by the rest of the players.

“He’s a great player to look up to for our younger players and we are very lucky to have him in Swindon.”
