Swindon Wildcats have confirmed they are holding two special events to mark their 30-year anniversary.

On Friday 9th December fans (adults only) are invited to a ‘Meet the Legends’ night where they can chat to some of the club’s most famous players, while on Sunday 11th December there will be a game between a Legends team and the current Wildcats line-up.

Some of the players already confirmed include Daryl Lipsey, Bryan Larkin, Gary Dickie and Steve Moria.

General Manager Steve Nell (above) has been with the club throughout their 30-year existence.

He said: “It’s hard to imagine that I’ve been part of the Wildcats for so long starting off as a player. I’ve played and coached the game and then became manager when the body started to give up.

“The Wildcats has become a real family affair, with my own family working alongside me on a day-to-day basis.

“I’ve had the pleasure of playing with some great teams over the years and it’s only fitting that in our 30th year we invite back some of those personalities from all over the world who have helped put Swindon Wildcats on the ice hockey map.”

I am JACK O’Donnells mum – Amanda. I am delighted to hear the Swindon Wildcats are celebrating their thirty year anniversary this year. JACK loved playing ice hockey with you guys and I know he will be looking down on you all and wishing you well. If our dearest JACK was alive today he would still be wearing your shirt with pride. Ice hockey, as you know was his life. Good luck Steve to you and your team
